UTLA could wear a pin or ribbon to show support to the SEIU members. Closing schools for 3 days to do so makes no sense.

Children in blue states have less right to an education than the adults have to walk out on their jobs without fear of being fired.

I’m not overly religious, but I’m beginning to think God is the only one who can sort things out at this point. We’ve reached a point of no return, and the sad thing is, there are actors on the world stage who desperately want the U.S. to crumble, and spineless political snakes who are more than willing to sell us out to said actors. As long as greed is enabled to prevail, the battle can’t be won, on any front: politically, educationally, militarily, or morally. I personally am done trying to save society as a mere mortal, and going sheer Darwinian. Sure, I’ll still pull over and help a stranded grandma change her flat tire, but in the case of saving the LA and NYC school systems, forget it! And my wife is a school teacher! She and all her colleagues have just about had it. New teachers aren’t onboarding, for very justifiable reasons. All of the sudden, summers off are no longer worth the expense of being physically and verbally assaulted on a regular basis. And if you happen to be curious to know my political background, I’m a NJ-based, MAGA deplorable, gun-toting, USMC veteran with kids in the public school system. We raise our kids well, but that doesn’t seem to be enough. As evil as it is to say, many of the kids in your aforementioned school districts should never have been born in the first place, or were born simply to collect additional welfare dollars. You can hate my guts for speaking the unspeakable, but that is the essential problem with a public welfare system. I could go on, but you get my drift. See y’all on the other side. I enjoy your writings, by the way.
