I just don’t understand it! It makes absolutely no sense. I am so glad I don’t live in NY. I cringe when I walk in my school hallways and seem some students still wearing masks by their own choice. The anxiety they must still feel is heart breaking. I wish our health leaders need to step up and put an end to it.

Not just in New York. I went to a family Christmas pageant service at the Portland Oregon Unitarian church I used to be very active in. All the children in the pageant were wearing masks so I couldn’t recognize any of my former Sunday School students or see any smiles. The minister preached that “ we show we care by wearing masks”, telling me that I don’t care by not wearing a mask? Everyone was under 45 in the audience, in a very low risk community and 95% were wearing masks. It was virtue theater pushed by social pressure at its finest. I felt I was sitting in a room full of cultists. Still grieving at the loss of my beloved church. If not now, when will it be okay to not wear masks?
