Dr. Kaliebe tells us he was “Compelled to voice my concerns about experimental treatments being characterized as standard care. These harms are going disproportionately toward vulnerable youth. I have tried to appeal directly to the medical association, and I do not believe their leadership speaks for their members. I am also extremely disappointed that calls for caution are being stigmatized and politicized as "hate". This is a serious ethical lapse at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) not the other way around.”
