Out For Blood: Standing Up Against the Leviathan
A Doctor’s Stand at the House Judiciary Whistleblower Hearing
As a mom and children’s advocate, I fought for truth during the pandemic’s school closures and mandates, inspired by fearless physicians like Dr. Jay Bhattachraya—now NIH director—who put children first. Dr. Eithan Haim, who was a surgical resident at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2020, witnessed practices that shocked him. Later, in 2023, he blew the whistle on the hospital’s harmful gender reassignment surgeries on minors, exposing unthinkable violations against the vulnerable. Cut from the same defiant cloth as those who challenge broken systems, Haim testified Wednesday at the House’s “Ending Lawfare Against Whistleblowers Who Protect Children” hearing. I was there, and it was electric.

Here’s Dr. Haim’s razor-sharp take on the fight:
The past few years have been a grueling ordeal, with the Biden DOJ deploying its infinite resources to send me to prison for a decade. They were targeting me for blowing the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. I exposed their secret—they were continuing their pediatric transgender program after telling the public they shut it down.
They alleged that I violated HIPAA by accessing patient records without authorization and under false pretenses. This is despite their own evidence showing these allegations were false. This is despite no identifiable patient information being released. This is despite the indictments having nothing to do with patients - rather, the victims were “TCH and its physicians.” This is despite the lead prosecutor, Tina Ansari, having egregious conflicts of interest with TCH and Baylor - they were so egregious she stepped down from the case after my legal team made them known.
Their goal was clear: to paint me as a criminal and dismantle my life and family, all because I challenged their ideology. The DOJ’s case was a clear abuse of power, but, after years of bitter fighting, more than $2 million in legal debt, in January 2025, they dropped all charges with prejudice.
Still, the fight wasn’t over. This past Wednesday, April 9, 2025, was the day I’d been waiting for. I was invited to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and set the record straight.
Joining me at the hearing was one of my attorneys, Mark Lytle. He’s a veteran in this fight and taken a leading role in some of the country’s most important legal battles over the last few years, including defending Donald Trump during his first term impeachments and the IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapley, who exposed the corruption in the Hunter Biden tax fraud case.
Also at the hearing was Vanessa Sivadge, a nurse practitioner who became the second whistleblower to back up my allegations against Texas Children’s Hospital. Vanessa had worked at the hospital and witnessed firsthand how they were allegedly using Medicaid funds to pay for transgender medical interventions on minors. Her courage to come forward, despite the risks, was inspiring, and her story added critical weight to our case. You can read more about her revelations here.
On Wednesday, I finally had my opportunity to set the record straight at the House Judiciary hearing. I walked into that room expecting a bare-knuckle brawl. And that’s exactly what we got.
The hearing kicked off with Jamie Raskin taking the floor. I knew what his game was—he’s sharp but predictable. Just like I thought he would, he started repeating allegations from the first indictment, mentioning a grand jury to make me look guilty. I saw it coming from a mile away. Here’s the moment he tried to set the stage.
I was ready for him. My opening statement was carefully crafted to counter the mud he was slinging. While looking straight into Raskin’s beady, soulless eyes, I explained how everything he stated as fact was completely false. The chaos on the other side was glorious—his staffers went into a frenzy, shuffling papers and exchanging nervous glances. This clip captures the moment their panic started to show.
Things escalated when Raskin tried to take on my attorney, Mark Lytle. It was like watching an amateur rodeo clown step into the ring against a Spanish fighting bull. Rodeo Clown Raskin got outmaneuvered, and the paper-shuffling went into overdrive. You could see Raskin and the person next to him scrambling, frantically flipping pages—I could almost see the sweat dripping from his eyebrows. It was quite a sight. Here’s the visual of their reaction.
Once my opponents were stumbling and off-balance, there was an opening to get them on the ropes: I pointed out that the primary component of the DOJ’s case had nothing to do with transgender patients—it was about transplant patients! It was a classic case of misdirection—using pseudo-technicalities to make the case appear as one thing (transgender patients) when it was really about another (transplant patients). I felt bad for Raskin at this point, so I threw him a bone. This wide shot shows the room as I laid out that truth
.
Raskin left those exchanges beaten and bruised, even conceding that my beliefs are “sincerely held.” Trying to recover, he called on his own witness, Bruce Lesley, for backup. But Lesley offered no help, and Raskin had to change subjects entirely. This round was over.
Later, Dan Goldman tried to pick up where Raskin left off. He thought he could catch me off guard with a “got-ya” question, but he ended up tripping over his own words and delivered a nonsensical jumbled mess of a question - very similar to the unintelligible word salads that came to define Kamala Harris. I legitimately had no idea what Goldman’s question was, so I asked him to clarify. Goldman immediately realized that even he didn’t know what he just said - he got lost in his own thread! He changed subjects—an admission he was beat. This round was over.
The Democrats kept coming, though. Some of the more vocal “follow-the-science” members tried to challenge me, but they didn’t want to engage directly. Instead, they leaned on Lesley as a crutch, deflecting to safer ground when things got tough. Here’s a shot of me at the table while they played their games.
One exchange stood out: Rep. Jayapal. She came prepared with a clever line of questioning—a worthy opponent in a group of emotional amateurs. She gave it her best shot, but I landed a solid comeback that she conveniently left out of her X post about the exchange.
Halfway through the hearing, the Reps left to vote on a bill, and after the break, Rep. Scanlon came back with a last-ditch effort. What followed was the most memorable takedown of the whole hearing.
Scanlon went after Vanessa Sivadge, using the tired tactic of questioning her credentials. Vanessa’s response was flawless. The cameras didn’t catch it, but Scanlon’s misstep was followed by audible laughter from the entire audience—they were all laughing at her. Here’s the moment right before the room erupted. Scanlon quickly realized her line of questioning was incredibly demeaning to the entire nursing profession - she walked into a trap of her own making. Like the others, she pivoted to Lesley to avoid further embarrassment. This clip shows the aftermath of her defeat. The final round was over. We rose from the table in triumphant victory.
All humor aside, what the Democrats did during this testimony was manifestly evil. They used allegations that were already disproven to portray me as a criminal, aiming to ruin my family and everything I’ve worked for. They claim to care about norms and democracy, but they have proven themselves willing to wield the infinite power of the federal government to destroy the lives of innocent people. If given the chance, they’ll do it again. This is why people need to stay engaged to ensure this never happens.

Standing up at that hearing was about more than just defending myself—it was about speaking up for all those who have suffered under the terror of these petty tyrants. This is what my father taught me to do. He is a doctor as well and always said it our duty to stand up for our principles, no matter the cost. In my case, this meant facing down the most powerful federal leviathan in human history. Walking out of that room, I knew I’d honored my father’s lessons.
