Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a 142-page report on pediatric gender dysphoria, a seismic shift in federal policy that aligns with the UK’s Cass Report and marks the U.S. government’s break from ideological capture. This comprehensive review prioritizes evidence-based medicine, protects minors from irreversible interventions, and honors whistleblowers Dr. Eithan Haim and Jamie Reed for exposing systemic medical harms.
The Cass Report, published in 2024, exposed the “remarkably weak” evidence for pediatric gender interventions like puberty blockers and surgeries, criticizing their irreversible nature and lack of long-term data. It prompted the UK to halt puberty blockers for minors. The HHS report goes further, concluding that the evidence for these treatments is of “very low” quality and causes “significant harms,” including infertility and psychological distress (HHS report, p. 12). The report rescinds Biden-era policies that shielded hospitals from state investigations, removes gender dysphoria as a disability under federal law, and ends mandates for federally funded programs to provide care based on gender identity.
The report explicitly praises whistleblowers
and Jamie Reed for dismantling institutional secrecy (HHS report, pp. 8-9). Dr. Haim, a surgeon at Texas Children’s Hospital, exposed in 2023 that the hospital continued transgender procedures on minors, including hormone implants in 11-year-olds, despite claiming compliance with Texas law. Facing up to 10 years in prison for alleged HIPAA violations, his charges were dropped in January 2025.Jamie Reed, a former case manager at the Washington University Transgender Center, revealed how teens were rushed into treatments with coerced parental consent (The Free Press). Her testimony highlighted systemic failures. The HHS report credits their advocacy for exposing “the big lie of gender-affirming care”.
This shift, backed by President Trump’s January 28, 2025, executive order, rejects Biden’s 2022 memo that protected hospitals from scrutiny (Fox News). It safeguards children from “chemical and surgical mutilation” and ensures whistleblower protections.
As Fox News reports, this is a “tremendous sea change” from ideology-driven policy. The HHS report is a victory for science, truth, and the bravery of Haim and Reed, whose stories remind us that challenging dogma can reshape history.

Great news! New HHS Gender Guidance Aligns with Cass Report!
That's awesome!
My hope is that Australia quickly follows in dismantling and rejecting this confabulated house of dangerous cards.
My next hope is that people worldwide see the light and reject the ideologues, young people see the harmful danger here and support each other to run from it until it collapses.
